Zhao Qiaoying, born in 1940 in Zisha Village, Yixing, China, learned purple clay pot making skills from her father at an early age. In 1954, she was able to make ordinary round pot, and in 1955, she as a student of Zhu Kexin, continue to learning purple clay pottery creation and design. Zhao Qiaoying is famous for her unique combination of technique and art. Her personal artistic style is dignified and elegant. She is considered to be one of the outstanding inheritors of the "Century-old Wang Teapot Art". Her works are regarded as precious cultural relics and are collected in museums.
